ABOUT UN FUTURO PARA TI:

Un Futuro Para Ti is a non-profit organization established in 2005 by UNC Chapel Hill students with the purpose to promote higher education and provide college admission guidance and services to the North Carolina Hispanic community.

HOW UN FUTURO PARA TI WORKS:

The organization reaches out and partners with local grade schools, businesses, media and influential people in the community to organize events, educational seminars, and raise money to support the needs of this segment of the young Hispanic population.

Our program includes these types of services:

• Conduct orientation seminars at grade school locations in both English and Spanish languages 
• Distribute a brochure with tips about college admission and application process
• Provide information about scholarship and financial aid sources available for students
• Provide information about college application/exam fee waiver
• Provide academic scholarships for college study
• Invite speakers from local colleges, universities and businesses
• Raise money through sponsorships to buy educational materials (e.g. SAT, ACT books)
• Raise money through sponsorships to pay for standardized exams and college admission fees
• Raise money through sponsorships to pay for high school transcripts
• Raise money through sponsorships to pay for summer/school year extracurricular activities
